Privacy Policy
Last updated July 6, 2026
Your privacy matters to us — it's part of why we make the kind of apps we do. This policy explains, in plain language, what information Brightkeep Labs collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Brightkeep Labs LLC (“Brightkeep Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an independent software studio based in the United States. This policy covers this website (brightkeeplabs.com) and the mobile apps we make, including Soltide. Where a specific app needs its own terms, we'll link them from within that app.
Our approach
We build calm, private-by-default software, and we hold our own data practices to the same standard. Two commitments guide everything below:
- We collect as little personal information as we can to run our apps and this site.
- We never sell your personal information, and we never share it with advertisers.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use our products, this may include:
- What you type into an app. The plans, commitments, logs, and notes you create live primarily on your device. If a feature syncs data (for example, to back it up or use it across your devices), we store only what that feature needs.
- Account information. If an app offers an account or waitlist, we store the email address you give us so we can sign you in or contact you.
- Basic usage and diagnostics. We may collect aggregate, non-identifying information about crashes and how features are used, so we can fix bugs and improve the product.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we keep that correspondence so we can help you.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Where an app is designed for an adult to log information about their family, that data belongs to the adult who entered it.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve our apps and site.
- To respond to your questions and support requests.
- To send you the occasional important message about a product you signed up for (for example, when a beta opens). You can opt out of non-essential email at any time.
- To keep our products secure and to meet our legal obligations.
We do not use your personal information for third-party advertising, and we do not sell it.
How information is shared
We share personal information only in these limited cases:
- Service providers who help us operate — for example, hosting, analytics, and email delivery — and who may process data only on our behalf and under agreements that limit their use of it.
- Legal reasons, if required to comply with law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and our studio.
- A business transfer, if Brightkeep Labs is ever involved in a merger or acquisition — in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. To make a request, just email us — see below.
Data retention & security
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described here, then delete or anonymize it. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, though no method of storage or transmission is ever 100% secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you.
